Witter Field Renovation
Witter Field will be renovated for drainage, new turf beginning June 6th, 2023. Expected completion is February, 2024.
Background
- Witter’s underground drainage system has deteriorated, and even moderate rain events can lead to flooding and field closures
- 70% of Piedmont High School students participate in athletics
- Witter Field is highly utilized by High School and Middle School Sports in addition to PE and community use

A state Facilities grant has become available to renovate the track and field now

Project timeline: June 5, 2023 – August, 2024, with the majority of trucking taking place in the Summer
