Amy Sharp (student last names A-K)

I moved to California from Chicago in 2016 and love my new west coast home! On weekends you can find me hiking, biking, camping, doing yoga, trying to garden, or enjoying eating at the many amazing food spots in the Bay Area. I love National Parks. If you have a favorite, I would love to hear about it. Working with students is my passion and I love my job! I have worked as a School Counselor since 2012 in both the high school and middle school settings. My door is always open, so feel free to call, email, or stop by any time!.

Lane Balaban (student last names L – Z)

I moved to California in the summer of 2021 from New Jersey where I have lived my entire life- I am so excited to be living on the opposite coast! I have been working as a high school counselor since 2014 and I also do community and private mental health counseling as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) for ages 9 and up. In my free time I enjoy walking/hiking, reading, trying out new restaurants (I love sushi), and traveling. More recently, I have been spending my time exploring the Bay Area. I look forward to getting to know you all and joining the Piedmont community. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me!

Caryn Palliser – Counseling Administrator

I began calling California home in 1992. I grew up in Newtonville Massachusetts where I had a fun childhood with lots of snowy winters. I now have a daughter and son who are both in college. Since 2012 I have worked in Beach and Havens~ and now I’ve found my favorite job here at PMS. My happy places are the woods, mountains, lakes, rivers and beaches. I love a wide variety of music, reading and spending a day at Spirit Rock. Stop by and say hello ~ I love to get visits!
