Witter construction completion date is updated to Monday, January 8th, 2024. The extension is primarily due to the EBMUD work as discussed at last week's community meeting.
Parking Updates:
Palm, Park, Winsor - Bothman is stating they will have an increase in trucking next week along with several large transport vehicle deliveries. Bothman is requesting all parking restrictions remain in place on Palm, Winsor and Park View next week, Mon 10/2 through Friday 10/6.
El Cerrito - Parking restrictions to start Thur 10/5 at 8am as Bothman installs the new football scoreboard foundations/piers. Bothman will lift the parking restrictions on El Cerrito at the end of the work day Friday 10/13 and remove all no parking signs.
Additionally, PUSD classes are not in session on Friday 10/6 and Monday 10/9 so Bothman will be closing the El Cerrito gate and not allowing any vehicle traffic through (including all PUSD yellow gate staff).
Witter Field Parking closed to public vehicles through project completion.
The walkway in front of Witter Field reopened for pedestrians last week. Permanent fencing, gates and handrail work along the walkway will be completed in the coming weeks.
Parents, residents, and dog walkers will be able to walk through the Witter parking lot, pass in front of the Field House and access the dog park and Wildwood Ave without having to walk past the yellow gate and walk up PE Hill.
