Piedmont Middle School has been recognized as a 2026 California School to Watch. This designation, granted through the California League of Middle Schools (CLMS) and supported by the California Department of Education (CDE), places PMS among a select group of middle schools across the state recognized for exemplary teaching, learning, and school culture.

This prestigious designation reflects the collective efforts of dedicated staff, engaged students, supportive families, and a deeply committed community. At Piedmont Middle School, a shared focus on belonging, high expectations, and student well-being creates an environment where all students are known, supported, and challenged to grow.

The school’s success is rooted in strong relationships, collaborative and engaging teaching practices, and a culture that values student voice, inclusivity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Families and community partners play an essential role in working alongside educators to support learning and a safe, welcoming campus for all students.

The Schools to Watch designation highlights Piedmont Middle School as a model for how a positive school culture built on trust, collaboration, and shared responsibility can lead to outstanding outcomes for students.

Piedmont Middle School extends its sincere gratitude to the entire PMS community, whose dedication and collaboration made this achievement possible. Congratulations, PMS!
