EMERGENCY 30-DAY SUBSTITUTE TEACHING PERMIT
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher – Degrees must be earned from a university accredited by an agency found on the following link: http://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/accreditation-bodies.html
Electronic transcripts must be sent to our agency directly by the University. Degrees earned outside of the U.S. must first be evaluated by an approved agency http://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/cl635.pdf
Basic Skills – Copy of CBEST passing status, or official score report for other CTC-approved basic skills exam. To view other options – http://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/cl667.pdf
Fingerprinting for the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Applicants already holding a CTC Certificate of Clearance are exempt.
PERMIT FEES:
Fingerprinting $49.00 plus rolling fee (avg. $30.00)
Permit Application Fee $102.50
The current pay rate for substitute teachers is $200.00 full day & $100.00 half day.
