Current 7th Grade Students,

The 8th grade counselors for Scots Camp 2014 will lead the new PMS sixth grade orientation to middle school. One goal of Scots Camp is to make positive connections between the new sixth graders with the eighth graders on campus. Over 40 eighth graders will be selected to serve as Scots Camp counselors and will lead activities and serve as mentors to the sixth graders. We know that these positive mentoring relationships will be valuable to everyone involved.

Scots Camp Counselors will serve as mentors to the incoming 6th graders and will be in a position of leadership and responsibility. Therefore, students applying are asked to demonstrate and explain positive leadership qualities, your background experience in student leadership roles, your experience working with younger children and/or on cooperative teams, and your characteristics that show responsibility, follow-through, and good decision-making. When selecting the Scots Camp Counselors we will consider all these criteria as well as three specific school related areas: Academic, Behavioral, and Attendance.
