Peer Tutoring

Free tutoring is available from students who can help you better understand difficult concepts and improve your general study habits. You request tutoring through the PHS Counseling Office by filling out a form. Then you are paired with a student who is strong in the areas you need help in.

Becoming a tutor is a great opportunity for you to help younger students who are struggling with concepts that you have a good understanding of. You can earn community service hours which help you meet the PHS Honor Society requirements. No prior tutoring in required to become a PHS Peer Tutor. Just come into the Counseling Office, fill out a form, or sign up at our table on club day.

After School Study Support Program

The After School Study Support program occurs Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 3:15pm–4:45pm in the PHS Library. It is staffed by Resource Specialists and General Education Teachers, as well as instructional aides. While students are not required to attend, we are hopeful that they will use this opportunity to receive academic support directly here on campus after school. There are no fees associated with this program.

Students may drop-in anytime, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. This program will serve as a place for either quiet study or direct instructional support.
