The Piedmont Sports Hall of Fame (PSHOF) was established in 2003 by a group of citizens with a keen interest in the rich athletic history of Piedmont High School.
Athletics at PHS is steeped in tradition where 73% of the student body participates. Their programs include Football, Cross-Country, Cheerleading, Volleyball, Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, Golf, Swimming, Track and Field, Softball, Baseball, Water Polo, and Lacrosse. There are 46 boys and girls teams ranging from Frosh to Varsity!
The Hall of Fame was founded upon the principle that Piedmont High School athletes, coaches, administrators, boosters and community members who have made outstanding contributions to PHS athletics should be honored and enshrined.
The qualifications for nomination include:
- Athletes must have graduated from Piedmont High School
- Athletes must have attended the school for at least two years
- Athletes must have graduated at least five years ago
- Athletes must have displayed outstanding citizenship and community involvement during their high school career
- Coaches and administrators cannot be current employees of the Piedmont Unified School District
Nominations are submitted each year and selections are made by the PSHOF Nomination Committee.
