Teachers of fourth through twelfth graders worked on Monday October 13th to explore effective instructional practices with technology. This was the second full day of training for teachers of 6th, 9th and 11th grade courses this year focused on a successful implementation of one-to-one chromebook devices in our Common Core Classrooms! With Director of Instructional Technology Stephanie Griffin, Connected Learning secondary teachers and para-educators explored the same literacy strategies presented by Dr. Wozniak, while integrating some unique features of technology to bring out student thought, reflections and discussion. Break-out sessions mid-day allowed teachers to go more in depth in interactive and formative presentations, paperless workflow, professional learning using Twitter, curating Youtube resources, and student-centered and differentiated technology for students. In the afternoon, fourth and fifth grade teachers began reviewing how to leverage 1:1 technology in their classrooms.
