As described in the 2017-2020 Local Control Accountability Plan, PUSD has begun work on equity, diversity, and social justice training for staff, students, and the Piedmont community.  PUSD partnered with Sara Wicht, from Teaching Tolerance, to lead a full week of training from August 7-11 on the Social Justice Standards/Anti-Bias Framework.  At the September 13, 2017 Board of Education Meeting, Dr. Cheryl Wozniak, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, presented an overview of the weeklong training and outlined next steps, including partnerships formed with several additional organizations with whom the District will be working over the next several years.
