If it is necessary for your child to miss school due to illness or personal reason, please phone the school by 9:00 am and leave a message on the attendance recorder at 594-2697. Please schedule medical and dental appointments after school hours or on weekends, whenever possible. If you know in advance that your child will be out of school, please write a note to your child's teacher.   Independent Study Contract If your child will be out of school for an extended period of time, please contact your child's teacher to obtain work that can be made up during the absence. An Independent Study Plan may be requested if your child will be out for five or more consecutive school days. If all work on the contract is completed and turned in within three days of the student's return, the school will receive Independent Study funding from the state. Please notify your teacher at least three days before the anticipated absence to provide time to prepare.
